第五集将讲述中国网友最喜欢网络神兽草泥马家族中，草泥马王子马勒死于一场洗手间凶杀案。它的爱偶歌碧向FBI求助。几经辗转，Doctor Lightman临危受命，深入马勒戈壁侦查案情。但他们遇到了一个大困难，草泥马的脸部表情迥异于人类，这让他们大费脑筋。其间，Will Loker一度错误分析了卧草的表情，让案情走入了一个死胡同，案情一再拖延。草泥马家族因此对美国政府非常不满，扬言将从南美洲挥兵百万发动人兽大战。
就在这个危难的时刻。Gillian意外发现河蟹Clair的身体语言与克林顿在法庭上撒谎的表情如出一辙。根据这一线索，Doctor Lightman发现歌碧在回答问题时也有类似反映……他们惊喜地发现，原来面部表情识别是人类和动物通用的。Doctor Lightman再次审问歌碧：发现歌碧眼瞪得很圆，嘴嘟得很长——明显的心虚说谎表现！
